Welcome to Microbiome Health!

At Microbiome Health, our research focuses on understanding the complexities of the human microbiome and showcasing cutting-edge research and best practices to elevate the standard of care. We believe in a holistic approach to healthcare, recognizing the critical link between the health of the microbiome and overall human health. With this research, we aim to arm practitioners, parents, and children with the knowledge and tools to make educated decisions regarding microbiome health.

About Microbiome Health

Our Inspiration

There are more bacterial cells in and on the human body than human cells. Bacteria, yeast, viruses, fungi, and more play a critical role in the metabolism and synthesis of compounds vital to human survival. This interplay is known as the human microbiome. The World Health Organization has identified antimicrobial resistance (or antibiotic resistance) as one of the greatest threats to humanity, killing 700,000 people each year. The prevalence of childhood atopic dermatitis has increased from 8% to 15% since 1997. Modern cleaning habits, the overuse of antibiotics, and contemporary food production and processing have contributed to the rise of inflammation-related illnesses, including allergies, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases. By acknowledging and applying emerging research in the microbiome field, we hope to better understand how to prevent the onset of these diseases and numerous others associated with microbiome health.

Our mission

Our team highlights and elevates crucial microbiome research to practitioners and patients, arming them with resources to better care for their health. We keep our subscribers up-to-date with the latest medical and microbiology research, empowering them to help patients with atopic dermatitis and other microbiome-related disorders now and in the future.

We focus on important research regarding topical and systemic probiotics, prebiotics, postbiotics, phage, endolysins, fungi, and yeast. Advances in artificial intelligence and gene sequencing technologies like CRISPR are enabling scientists to discover novel approaches to disease management, both over the counter and in the pharmaceutical world. Through research on healthy lifestyle choices, habit change, and targeted therapies, we aim to bring a new generation of healthcare information to practitioners, parents, and patients everywhere, helping them make the best choices for their health.
